This template illustrates what the Regulator of Community Interest Companies considers to be best practice for completing a simplified community interest company report. All such reports must be delivered in accordance with section 34 of the Companies (Audit, Investigations and Community Enterprise) Act 2004 and contain the information required by Part 7 of the Community Interest Company Regulations 2005.
PART 1 – GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF THE COMPANY’S ACTIVITIES AND IMPACT
In the space provided below, please insert a general account of the company’s activities in the financial year to which the report relates, including a description of how they have benefited the community.
During the year the company organised accessible community well-being workshops and projects for local residents. Activities were designed to reduce social isolation, enhance mental well-being and support those in financial hardship. The company reinvested its annual surplus in the continuation and development of these services.
PART 2 – CONSULTATION WITH STAKEHOLDERS
A “stakeholder” is any person or organisation affected by the company’s activities.
Please indicate who the company’s stakeholders are:
The company’s stakeholders are the participants of the workshops and events and those who supply and benefit from the allocated funding. The directors of the company have lived in the area and developed the CIC based on their experience as long-standing existing practitioners and talking to those who have attended their workshops. This has helped us to establish the well-being needs of the local community and any financial or social barriers that inhibit access to such events. For example, after holding a local drumming circle for 2 years, the feedback from many who could not attend was due to financial hardship and that they would benefit from such a circle. Therefore, we received funding to provide free spaces every month for those who could not have attended otherwise. This amounted to approximately 120 spaces over the course of 12 months. The feedback from those who benefitted from these spaces confirmed that the circle greatly enhanced their mental well-being, provided a social outlet for them to connect with and meet new people and reduced their feelings of loneliness.
Please indicate how the stakeholders have been consulted [or leave blank if there has been no consultation]:
Please indicate what action the company has taken in response to feedback from its consultations [or leave blank if there has been no consultation]:

Fees totalling £2,147.50 were paid to a director for the delivery of services in furtherance of the company's community objectives. These services were provided on an ad hoc, self-employed basis and were separate from the individual's duties as a director. The fees were considered reasonable in relation to the services provided.
